According to Nature
According to Nature is a series of vessels made from fig wood, exploring the relationship between technical gesture and the spontaneous transformation of material. Thin turning on fresh wood establishes an initially regular and delicate structure, while spiral incisions in the upper section introduce a condition of openness to change.
During the seasoning process, internal tensions within the wood are gradually released, generating unpredictable deformations that complete the work. The process challenges the notion of formal control, assigning time and nature the role of co-authors.
The series presents a reflection on change as value, on waiting as an integral part of making, and on a practice in which the final shape is not imposed, but emerges as the outcome of an accepted process.
